I bought a new coolant temp sender and it made no difference. Temp still went up to maximum and stayed there.  The radiator fan switch is at the bottom of the radiator and the fan was not coming on. Found the radiator was boiling hot at the top and cold at the bottom.  The top of the radiator was clogged with "green stuff"obviously there has been some sort of reaction with different brand coolants.

Anyone know a good motorcycle radiator repairer in the eastern suburbs.

Reverse flush with a hose?

Can you get a bit of the "green stuff" out and see what breaks it down, alcohol, petrol maybe acetone.

Tried reverse flushing it Tim. Some of the gunk seems to have come out but I may try petrol or acetone  etc. Good idea.

Race Radiators in Dandenong, good and fair price. Can recore it if needed.

Yes to Race Radiators.

They helped me cool the AE430.  Back then, good work at a fair price.
It's just more time to be flat out!

After taking Tims suggestion of trying to dissolve the stuff clogging the radiator I tried petrol , turps and metho. None of those worked. Looking through the garage at stuff left over from jobs I found a bottle of "Earls Graffiti Eater" and thought I may as well give it a go.  That worked and dissolved the stuff clogging the radiator. I rinsed it out with acetone which dried it out and finally blew it out with compressed air .
All back together and running cool like it should.

Well, that's good news.

Great thinking/suggestion,  Tim.
