Some of you know that I have recently purchased & restored a Yamaha Tenere , well it's now finished and on the road or should I say dirt .

For the last 3 weekends I have been riding it  around the local dirt road's of Koowee just to make sure nothing was going to fall off it if I forgot to do up a screw here or there but on Easter Saturday it was time to venture a little further and deal with whatever may happen .

With a full tank of fuel and butterflies in my stomach I hit the dirt and headed for the hills . After riding a mixture of dirt road's & bitumen for about 50 k's i ended up in Poowong which is a nice little town just into the foothills of South Gippsland . Needing a drink I stopped at the local Café and met another solo rider on a V/Strom and after a chat about of all things - bikes  - i hit the road again .
With the Tenere running like a dream  it was about now that i finally started to enjoy myself and not worry about the bike .

I took a different route home rolling back down the hills and a few more back road's and i was loving it !! Got back home all good with the Tenere running beautifully and i couldn't have been happier  . Some of you may say that the 110 k's I completed is hardly an Adventure ride and you are probably right but for me that is new to road riding and also still a little nervous about the bike it was .

It was my first ( little ) adventure ride and I cant wait to join some of you guy's in the near future on more rides and explore this big state and in time beyond !!  Regards Scott

Than run around Poo-ee is great.  Try the Loch - Wonthaggi Road through Archies Creek.  One of my favorites!

We'll get you and that big beast out onto a group ride soon.  Don't like the idea of you riding solo!

Hey Serge , your right mate , that road is a ripper , amazing views across the top looking over to the islands !!
And yes my wife would prefer I ride with friends so we need to get it happening soon .
