No you don't need a 250 you need a 490 Small Bore       ,

Hi Peter

Thanks for your useless input once again.

I was actually speaking to a guy today that someone here put me on to.  He has/had 17 IT's and is selling them all.  He has a 250 in showroom condition and another rider.  He also has a 425 partly restored.  Only made for one year and not a lot of interchangeable parts from other models.  Anyone know anything about the 425's???????

Thanks

Get the 250. Not all Vinduros are like Harrow.

Darren, I have a 425 and it's a great motor in a heavy, short travel bike. I would steer clear of one as a regular vinduro mount as parts are very thin on the ground. Due to the one year of production there are no aftermarket piston kits and I have only been able to source STD and .25 pistons. The 425 piston is unique, nothing interchanges without major mod's.

Thanks Tony.  I am leaning towards the 250 anyway.
