Stihl ms391, cannot go wrong, excellent power to weight  and easy pulls 20inch bar, I picked my up from gumtree for $450 in mint condition.
Or there's a couple of stihl ms310s (same weight as 391 but 7cc less probably better suited for 18inch bar) for sale on gumtree for about 500buck which is pretty good. Check gumtree as usually there half the price of a new saw

I have two Stihl saws and one Husqvarna. They are all very good however the husky is a small light weight one bought for a specific job.  I would have to say the Stihl saws seem better quality than the Husqvarva.
I would buy the biggest most powerful one you can physically manage.

If You've got big timber to cut, buy a professional saw or ie Husky or Stihl. Really just depends whether you prefer orange or white n orange.  No difference in quality whatsoever in the pro range.      Just be prepared to pay big dollars if buying new.   I use a Stihl ms660 n 25 inch bar for work .   Bigger is better in big wood.

I have a Stihl MS 390, MS250 and an older O8S. The 390 is a good all rounder.  I also have a cheapo Ozito lightweight for pruning trees.

I went down the shop and the new ones were too shiny so I ended up with a ms391
To go bigger the price just went crazy for the amount of use I'll be needing it for.

Thanks all for the input.
