What a great way to spend a Sunday.
18 riders with a great mix of young and old, experienced and newbies all arrived at a well setup loading area. Scott had the AMTRA gazebo setup early so the newcomers knew where to go.
The day was perfect and the weather had been kind enough all week to dry the tracks for those of us not so comfortable with the slippery stuff.
Scott rallied the troops around 10 o'clock and gave us all a briefing then we headed off on a nice easy run to flush out the cobwebs. We did a bit of a back track to pick up a couple of waywood riders, but then back into full swing with some nice flowing hills and enough washouts to keep the more experienced smiling. The pace was comfortable for all levels and bike types. It was great to see such a variety of bikes which I hope encourages others new to riding to just get out there and give it a go. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly and there was plenty good advice as we stopped along the way. Scott had the number of stops pretty well sorted. They were spread out nicely so the day flowed well but frequent enough so everyone was rested and ready for the next run and a chance to tell us what we were in for for the next part.
Jeff and Helen put on a great BBQ lunch before we headed off for round two. You could see the confidence levels building on the afternoon run, the pace was a bit quicker and the washouts were producing bigger smiles.
Thank you Scott for organising a great ride, thanks to Jeff for managing the tail, and thanks Jeff and Helen for the BBQ lunch.
It was a thouroughly enjoyable day and I'll definitely be back for more.
Thanks
Luke

Well said Luke. Thank you Scott for organising & leading  the ride, it was good to get back on the bike after a fairly long break with footy over winter. Good weather & great company made for an enjoyable day out in a area new to me. Thanks Jeff for doing tail duties all day, cheers.
Having the AMTRA marquee set up for a bit of advertising was a great idea & the smell of a bbq cooking made the other punters a little jealous as we rode in for lunch. Thank you Helen it’s much appreciated.
Hope to make the next one.

A great day out  - thanks for organising and leading the ride Scott.

Almost perfect conditions; no complications or mechanical issues, and everyone made it back to the cars safely - what more could you ask for?

The marquee and BBQ was a huge hit - thanks to Jeff and Helen for bringing them along, and especially to Helen for having a massive array of cooked food waiting for us after the morning loop.

Thanks to everyone for a fun day, and to Jeff for doing tailman duties the whole day.

Sure did Ken - it was awesome (even with the FIM tyres still fitted)!
So nice to have a modern bike with some real oomph. Nothing against the AJP, but it does lack a bit in the power dept.
