The 7 who said they would be on the ride all arrived with plenty of time to get ready in the nice warm sunshine.
Jeff our ride leader for the day took us 300m and showed us how he didn't want us to cross the many rivers we would encounter for the day. After a quick going thru of Jeff's bike to remove the the water from the places it shouldn't be we were on out way. Jeff was feeling extra fresh, he washed all his gear apart from his helmet at the same time!
The group traveled well with no real issues, we did have a rim lock that wasn't tightened on Graeme's bike. The shop had failed to tighten it after he had a tyre fitted during the week. Also Jeff's clutch lever not doing what it is designed to do but that didn't slow him, just roll down hill and select the gear.
We did a fair loop of the good stuff around Rawson, Up a hill, down a hill, cross a body of water and then repeat till the weather told us we should head for the cars before we got wet.
We knocked up about 100k and were back at the cars around 3, a fun 6 hours spent out in the bush. A few stopped at the Erica pup to warm their bones next to the fire on the way back home.
Thanks Jeff for putting on the ride and to Graeme for tailing.
