If you google fuel bottle you will find lots of options, my preference is pretty simple 14 litre tank and a couple of 1.5 litre fuel bottles in my back pack and get it into the bike as soon as possible so it gets the weight of my back. Strap ons where the straps run around the gaur top to bottom does work as the wheel will grab hold as it compress's of jumps of bumps etc. Or you could just do what some just do and stay home an do this instead of going for a ride with your mates. :)

yesterday I fitted a Nomad tank to the 449. Should have an easy 160 km of high country riding. A bit harder to throw a leg over though.

Ian this looks like a great option if you don't mind a few extra kilo's over the back wheel, a much better idea than a strap on Jerry can, Rossi was the 1st one on my rides to try this and he had the same issues as James did yesterday, last ride Rudi had a bladder strapped to his bars and fork legs and that was ok but no visible front light, someone like safari should cast a rear guard similar to the Bergs plastic subframe a few mm higher than standard guard Im sure would fit a few litres extra.

I've fitted bigger tanks to bikes, Blown up existing tanks with hot water to increase the capacity and fitted a lovely little additional tank to my FE400e, but non of this has ever affected my sex life.

I still reckon a strap on's a better idea.

Are we still talking about fuel tanks?

Get serious and buy a Safari Tank.

The fact that you prefer straps on's Rod, explains a lot about you :)

Don't blame us, Ian started it.

Anyway, if you ran out of fuel with a strap on on, would you feel stiff?
