Jeff D
Swatter ( realized he'd been double dipping with 2 rides for the weekend ) (RW)
Mat with one
Adrian Adrian
4 of us headed out at 9 with Adrian joining us at lunch
tracks seemed a bit slippery , ( 14.5 psi in my rear tyre that was almost as bald as my head)
top of fireline 1 i hit some branches hiding in the shadows and almost high sided it , it almost never even happened except swatter was right behind me and saw it ....
Next track , Foleys fire line , swatter and young Jeffrey went past me like the cops were chasing them . it was time to check my tyre pressures ,
by then the sun was out for a magnificent day !
Swatter went up a gnarly washed away track while we rode all the switch backs to get to the top and headed to Simons Jameisons hut for brunch .
On the way back , my berg started cutting out , like a short or starving for feul .
Ride it like its stolen !
Back on big river road , Mat with one decided to swap bikes and ride my bike back to the cars on the road , leaving me with his almost out of the crate 350 husky and showed me the no 2 setting , what could go wrong ?.
I over shot a few corners , as i couldn't find the brakes , but got the little thing right on its sweet spot about 35Ks back at the cars with 99.7Ks clocked up
Swatter and Mat packed up , while Jeff and I took Adrian for a 30 odd K loop , my berg started playing up again ,so Jeff D swapped bikes with me and I had a 30k session on the well set up 2T. what a hoot !
funny thing was my berg never played up once for Mat or Jeff .
Got back and went and swapped the bikes around , said hello to the lovely Helen and check out their camp site , before heading home and preaching AMTRA to Adrian Adrian
A lot of the tracks in the area have been freshly dozed , and made for some fast fun riding
Again , its good to get out with the AMTRA crew !
