Oil injection i don't like it.

What a brain surgeon!  His whole argument is that these pumps are no good because sometimes they don't work.  Based on that premise, he must hate all European bikes because sometimes they don't work!  :D

I have one of these pumps on my TS250, and when I bought the bike, I was told it was stuffed and the bike was running pre-mix.  I removed the lines and found two slugs of crystallized oil in each line.  So, I soaked them in petrol for 24 hours, then stuck a fine piece of wire up the hi-diddle-diddle of each line to break up the slug, then blew compressed air through each line, making sure the air flow went the correct way (there's a neat little one-way ball valve in the end of each line) and bingo!  Clear lines!  I primed them in accordance to the manual and watched the oil flow.  Started the bike on pre-mix and knew when the injector was working when the exhaust put out and extra plume of 2T smoke.

If this system can still work after 30 years of neglect, surely some boffin can integrate it into a computer controlled, air/fuel mixed injection system to create an injected 2T motor.  I think Zeb has the jist of it.  The Japanese aren't interested and the Euros don't care.

SUZUKI is Japanese for no-breaky-downy!  :D  :D :D

Think thats more that fact they don't care,

The 4 stroke factories make more money out of the 4 strokes than 2 strokes.
The AMA factory teams were trying to ban 2 strokes as they have to do a lot more work to get the bang out of there 4 stroke than is required to get more bang out of a 2 stroke. my understand was they were scared that a privateer could be faster than the factory teams on a 2 stroke.

2 stroke rebuild parts basic $300 est
piston rings gaskets
4 Stroke Rebuild parts basic $500-800+ est
piston rings gaskets, timing chain, valves, valve springs, valves seat regrind etc.

yes both have there good and bad :D

Didn't know you were into 'Vinduro'.  They're a cute little bike!
