Nice bike there, but it aint old, infact if it is not Pre 85 then it just does not cut it as a old banger for me  , I am about to ride in the transmoto 12 hour on my IT 175 G 1980 model and cant wait for the event to start, those mod riders might all laugh at my old girl, but to me she stands out in a good way.

Your a game man Mick, best of luck mate, even our own most improved rider who won the crash and burn award this year Seano is in training for that event and is going on a near new bike is a bit concerned if his body is going to hold up, I cant wait for your ride report on it, How many are in your team and what sort of bikes are your team mates riding ?

I guess I am blowing my own trumppet here Fatboy, but I road this same bike in the 12 hour last year in the ( Ironman Class ) and came 3rd I was 143KG last year when in this event, I cracked a rib when landing on top of a wooden picket that was holding buntting on lap 3 with a endo moment I had, it woke me up I can tell you, this year I have lost about 20kg so the pour little IT 175 1980 model will be happy about that.

If you look on the Transmoto website you will see pictures of me and bike from the 2011 event plus we also had the  ( camp snore alot )    and just had a lot of fun in this event and plan on doing the same this year, might see you there.

Hey Wilbur, You'll be surprised how fast the "old" ktm is.......... you'll probably be quicker on it than your 4 banger !
Will be interested to hear what you think of the auto clutch.
