Not sure if this thing counts as a motorbike, but, the first petrol powered bike I rode was a thing called a Solex in Holland in the late 70's (it was an antique then allready). It was like a bicycle to get moving & then you lowered the engine down onto the front wheel with a lever to get it started & then you could accelerate. Black, very old & heavy from memory, but fun to ride as a kid & went quick enough thru the bush tracks from memory.
First bike I owned was a Honda CT Trail 70 - worth heaps $$$ now.
Cheers - Martin

Yamaha GT80, first bike I learnt on, it was my brothers and was used on the farm. Probably saw about 10 learners in it's time eventually handed down to my cousins. First bike I owned, (sold 20 fat lambs to put towards it) was a Yamaha MX100 (really just a DT100 with knobs). Pretty average, nearly had mum talked into an RM80 until she found out it was a race bike and wouldn't be very suitable for moving sheep.

My first bike was a Lambretta TV175. It was better than ugly sex, 75mph, went around corners OK - once correct lines were introduced, stopped well except for once when a car in front outbraked me - he obviously was not looking at the mini skirt. Looking back it was one of the few bikes I didnt drop. Lots of fun and all with dry feet. First trail bike was the mighty DT1. Rode it to work and home down the beach from Sth Melb to Frankston and it wasn't illegal back then. It also wasnt illegal to scoot thru the bush on the Seaford foreshore, or try to ride up and down under the Arthurs Seat chairfilt. I also rode the DT in a trial (never done so much damage to a bike in 1 day before or since) And we gave it a punt in road racing clocking up 9 wins in 3 meetings and was quickly moved from C to B grade where the need for more HP retired the already heavily modified DT. Now those were the days.
