I picked these up for a bargain price!! they will keep me busy for a long time restoring them!
The bike with the red tank is a 1981 CR 250, and the bike with the blue tank is a very rare 1982 AXC 420 Auto.

Well Done, but doesn't 2 x 2 stroke = 4 stroke?

I had a water cooled version of the AXC 420 Auto which was an interesting bike to own and ride. It's probably got the same 3 speed Auto as mine had so grab as many first gear shoes and springs as you can find. I might still have the drawing of the first gear hub I had made which was going to last a lot longer than the original. They used a trick oil in the gearbox as well so get some of that if you can and change it every ride. Enjoy - I did.

Congrats - They look to be in great condition for their age!

New seat cover on the 81 model and a bit of work on the tank of the 82 and they will look spot-on!

2 x 2 stroke = 4 stroke, thats how i'm justifying it!!  Grin
Thanks for the advice Ken, i guess theres heaps of bits to track down and stock up on, i have already found some good Husky parts suppliers on the net.

They are in very good condition and it shouldnt take to much to restore them to new, but who knows what i'll find when i start pulling them apart!

i should be able to squeeze in one more bike in the lounge, so the plan is to restore the 81 CR 250 to new condition and put it in the lounge next to the Meo Replica, and i'll restore the 82 AXC 420 Auto to new condition and ride it!

Then put the tabletop jump in the dining room, some whoops in the bathroom and maybe a rhythm section in the ....

Nice bikes Nath, always liked the look of the steel tanks on the old Huskies.

If they are going now take them for a ride before you start the restoration.

Matt you just got the job as my interior designer!!
They are running and i will be taking them for a ride before the restoration, just need to find some private property to ride them on, as they are unregistered, but they will be going for a quick blast around the street!!  Grin

Welcome to the Vinduro scene, Nath!
