Hi all. I have just joined amtra after having heard some great feed back on your club rides. Have recently purchased a new KLX450R after a few years out of the trail scene, and am looking forward to getting back out and about with amtra. Does anyone know if there are other members in the northen vic region (Nth of Bendigo) that attend amtra rides regularly?

Hi Green machine and welcome aboard, i only know of one Member out your way, his name is Alex and he lives somewhere out there.
Anyway the closest ride to you would be next Sundays Glenlyon Ride which is near Daylesford, but give John T (the ride leader) a ring about the ride.
Here's a link to the ride:  http://www.amtra.com.au/forum/calendar/lenlyon-area-t3961/

Regards Peter

Thanks guys, I'm only half hour west of Rochester, so I'll keep an eye and ear out for Alex. Wouldnt be able to make Glenlyon ride Peter, but thanks for the suggestion.

Not too many places local to ride here Brad, if i wake up and want to spend the day riding i shoot out to the "Terrick Terrick" national park between Mitiamo and Pyramid Hill. Its largely an Iron Bark and pine forest, basic free flowing open tracks, undulating at best! although a hand full of granite rock outcrops provide an accasional hillclimb challange if im feeling up to it. Only problem there is, its not a soft landing if i happen to come off! I used to ride up around the ovens valley years ago. Around omeo and the mitta mitta river. I miss riding the high country and thats why i have joined amtra, to get me motivated again...

Sounds like you need to put on an AMTRA ride at Terrick Terrick, i'm sure we can drum up some riders, especially if there's a Pub or somewhere good to stay the night at. Maybe you could organise some stripper, "Now that would be good".

Now you're talking Pete, I haven't seen any strippers for years, but I guess they haven't changed much since sitting in the front row wide eyed at a Christmas break up party, Grin

Hey Peter, be happy to map out some loops in the "Terricks" if you thought there would be some interest in heading to Nth Vic? Would be a casual L1/L2 ride, L2+ if someone wanted to tackle the granite?! Camping facilities in the park, pub accommadation in Pyramid Hill, Mitiamo general store has food and fuel. Not sure i could convince professional strippers to head into a National park in the middle of nowhere!.....but leave it with me, i know of a couple of local gals that might be approachable! Grin
